Many people prefer online classes to offline ones. First of all, because it is very comfortable. Most online classes are very flexible. Students can study any time anywhere. Also, online classes can be private, so students don’t need to take care of annoying classmates. And, of course, during the coronavirus pandemic online classes are safer. Therefore, more online teaching job opportunities today.
There is no need for professional certificates to start to teach online and earn money. Many famous online tutors don’t even have a professional academic background.
What to Teach?
You can teach whatever you want or whatever you know. But of course, it is better to teach something, what is in good demand. Because your earnings depend on the number of your students, the quality of your classes, and efficiency.
For example, you can teach:
- foreign language;
- business courses;
- about self-development;
- design;
- school/university subjects etc
Where to Teach?
You can use any method which you like, or combine several methods. Here are 3 main ways how you can conduct your courses.
Messengers
Messengers are good for real-time classes. You can conduct private or group real-time classes in messengers like WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, Skype etc.
Online courses websites
If you don’t want to teach in real-time, you can record your class. Students will take and watch your class any time, they want. You can use Youtube or special education websites like Fiverr, Udemy, Edureka, John Academy, Coursera.
The main advantage of that method is that you record your class just once, but your course will bring you money as long as anyone will take it. In other words, you will get a passive income from your course.
Blog
Do you use Instagram? Probably, you have seen accounts of people who teach something or conduct different courses. They share information in their account, and time to time have short paid courses. It is a way how people teach online and earn money on it.
Pros: if your blog become popular, you can get extra income from ads.
Cons: in the beginning, your teaching blog won’t make money because you don’t have enough followers.
