The simple blockchain-based game Splinterlands was launched around 3 years ago. In the beginning it was a simple card game, where players were getting DECs for winning the battles. Today many people say that Splinterlands is their source of income. So, I decided to sum up all ways to earn crypto by playing Splinterlands.
1/ Win the ranked battle
The most essential way to earn crypto by playing Splinterlands is just playing it. There are so-called ranked battles, and when you win you get DEC rewards. Your DEC rewards depend on your rank and cards you use.
Also, you can get a DEC bonus if you use specific cards like gold foil cards, alpha cards, beta cards, promo cards, or if you have a win strike. As many battles you win in a row then more bonus you get.
2/ Get Season Rewards
There are seasons, and each season lasts 15 days. At the end of the season your rank will be cancelled. And the good side of it is that you get season rewards which depend on the highest rank that you reached during the season.
3/ Play tournaments
Tournaments are competitions where you can compete with other players and try your chance to win DECs. Tournaments are very different. They can be classified by the league, card types, etc. Already $280,700 were paid in the tournaments.
4/ Trade crypto
There are 3 different cryptos in the game: DEC, SPT, SPS. And you can trade them as any other cryptos and tokens. SPS token was launched recently and it is listed on Gate.io.

On July 27th game developers launched a new token called SPS (Splintershards). The airdrop is a daily distribution which will occur over the course of 365 days. And amount of airdrop depends on you game assets, i.e. your cards, lands, tokens, etc.
8/ Refer people
Encourage your friends to join the game too. Right after your friend bought the spellbook which costs $10, you will get 500 credits, around $0.5.
Also, you will receive 5% commission from each credit that your friends spend.
9/ Write a blog
Are you familiar with Hive blogging platform? You can write posts on the Hive and use a hashtag ‘SPT’. Then you can trade these tokens on Hive Engine or keep them, because now you can get SPS airdrop based on how many SPT tokens you have.
10/ Participate in events
