That method is not absolutely passive. You need to make a transaction with HBD/HP savings at least once a month. Otherwise, you won’t receive your commission.

Delegation

Another method of passive income in Hive is delegation. You can delegate your Hive Power (HP) to the delegator and get paid on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. It depends on the delegators’ rules. Most delegators pay in Hive, but some delegators can pay in their own token as well. Just check the rules before you delegate. You can delegate not only HP but also different pegged tokens as well.

Liquidity Pool

You can make money in Hive by using Liquidity Pools. Pools are different, and some pools reward users with more than 2 different tokens. As with any other LPs, LPs in Hive distribute fees on the daily basis.
